Astronomers
Information
The Astronomical Validation (AV) of the Sardinia Radio Telescope is in progress, though the use of the telescope is not regularly granted at night. The AV Team includes staff and post-doc from the Institute of Radioastronomy, the Cagliari Astronomical Observatory and the Arcetri Observatory, coordinated by the Project Scientist Isabella Prandoni.
TARGET OF OPPORTUNITY
The AV Team is happy to receive a limited number of proposals for Target of Opportunity (TOO) to be addressed during the science validation time. Proposals can be emailed to the Project Scientist Isabella Prandoni (prandoni AT ira.inaf.it) or to the SRT Officer-in-Charge Ettore Carretti (carretti AT oa-cagliari.inaf.it)
It will be up to the proposing team to conduct observations and data reduction. We strongly recommend the proposing team includes one or more members of the AV team, who will act as contact person(s) with the scheduler and the Operations team, and will coordinate observations and data reduction/analysis.
