The observations were carried out by Andrea Melis, Carlo Migoni and Sergio Poppi, who are part of the SRT technical staff, and included a RadioAstron experiment.
"This is another major achievement for the SRT", said Isabella Prandoni, the SRT Project Scientist, "obtained thanks to the hard work of the VLBI team, after the successful participation of the SRT to the VLBI test observations in the previous EVN run."

Miguel Perez-Torres, the PI of one of the EVN experiments which include SRT, expressed his great enthusiasm and said "I look forward to seeing the first VLBI images obtained with the contribution of the SRT!" A feeling that we all share with him!
