Summer School 2014

The first Summer School in Radioastronomy ("La Radio del Cosmo") is is a summer school for high school students, which will be held in Sardinia from August the 31st to September the 6th 2014.

After a process of selection, based mostly on motivation and curriculum vitae, students coming from Sardina and Lombardia will partecipate to an intense week of study, work and fun in the beatiful landscape of the south of Sardinia. During the school, students will follow theoretical lessons on radioastronomy fundamentals and will take part to practical activities on antenna parameters measurements and radio interference monitoring.

All the lessons and the practical activities will be guided by professional physicists and astronomers from Milan University and INAF-OAC.

The project "La radio del Cosmo" comes from the scientifical collaboration between the Physics Department of Milan University and the INAF-Cagliari Astronomical Observatory (INAF-OAC) and has been funded in the framework of a formal agreement between the Regione Autonoma della Sardegna and the Regione Lombardia (Italy). The School as been approved by the Italian Society of Astronomy (SAIt).
