Dal 2011, il Sardinia Radio Telescope è stato periodicamente aperto al pubblico e alle scuole per visite guidate. La visita è gratuita e comprende una spiegazione al chiuso presso il nostro Visitor Center (50 posti), seguita, a seconda delle condizioni meteorologiche, da una passeggiata all’aperto dove è possibile ammirare il telescopio da vicino. L’ingresso nel radiotelescopio o il suo utilizzo per osservazioni non sono consentiti in alcun caso.

La visita dura circa 90 minuti ed è guidata da ricercatori, tecnologi e comunicatori dell’Osservatorio Astronomico di Cagliari, che spiegano il progetto e tutte le curiosità correlate. La visita si svolge in italiano, ma su richiesta, può essere condotta anche in inglese o in francese.

Da marzo a dicembre, le mattine sono dedicate alle scuole di ogni livello – dalla scuola elementare a quella superiore – con due turni alle 9:30 e alle 11:30. Le visite pomeridiane sono aperte al pubblico generale con un unico turno, con orari che variano a seconda della stagione: da inizio ottobre a maggio, le visite iniziano alle 15:30, mentre da giugno a settembre alle 17:30.

Per motivi organizzativi, di trasparenza e gestione dei dati, non è possibile prenotare le visite via email o telefono. Per favore, consultate la pagina OAC dedicata alla visita ad SRT per ottenere tutte le informazioni sulla prenotazione. L’unico modo per prenotare è compilando il modulo di registrazione. Since 2011, the Sardinia Radio Telescope has periodically opened to the public and schools for visits. The visit is free and includes an indoor explanation at our Visitor Center (50 seats), followed, weather permitting, by an outdoor walk where you can admire the telescope up close. Entry into the radio telescope or its use for observations is not allowed under any circumstances.

The visit lasts about 90 minutes and is led by researchers, technologists, and communicators from the Astronomical Observatory of Cagliari, who explain the project and all related curiosities. The visit is in Italian; English or French can be provided on request.

From March to December, mornings are dedicated to schools of all levels – from elementary to high school – with two shifts at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Afternoons are open to the general public with a single session,with hours varying by season: from early October to May, tours start at 3:30 p.m., while from June to September, they start at 5:30 p.m.
